Mother is the most beautiful word in the
English language, according to a survey of non-English speakers.
More than 40,000 people in 102 countries were polled by the British Council to mark its
70th anniversary.
Mother, passion, smile, love and eternity were the top five choices - but father did
not even make it into the list of 70 words.
Q. It isn't exactly clear to me, why it makes
such a difference: "God the Father" or "God the Mother". Both remain
distant from myself and my life. So what is the use of involving myself in
"your" Mother spirituality?
A. First about the
"distance" you are talking about. In the spiritual realm, there doesn't exist a
separation between "inner" and "outer".
Q. What do you mean?
A. The fact, that you can find
the Divine within, doesn't mean it is locked up in you like a (golden) bird in a cage. It
is not something you possess. In fact It possesses you.
Q. So it is no use going within?
A. No, I am not saying that at
all. What I try to say is, that the Divine is omni-present. It pervades the entire
existence, including you and me. So if you go "within" you certainly will find
it there, however it is not confined to your "inner space" only. In fact, it is
everywhere: in and around you.
Q. That still doesn't touch the other part of
my question. I mean the "gender" issue.
A. Okay, before I will
give you an elaborate answer, go within for a while. I presume you accept my
"thesis" about the omni-presence of the Divine. The latter is the Greatest
Reality possible, so what happens if you close your eyes and try to feel this presence, in
and around you? (Student is closing his eyes. After a few minutes).
Q. I feel a certain subtle aliveness in the
room.
A. Good. Now you visualize this
aliveness to be "God the Father". Take your time and tell me the outcome.
Q. (After a few minutes) O, my God. As soon as
I started visualizing, the gentle vibrations lost their vitality. They got replaced by a
gloomy atmosphere, like life has become suppressed.
A. Please, open your eyes,
breath deeply, relax and forget about your experience.
AFTER A WHILE
A. Now the following
experiment. Again you feel the Divine presence. The difference with the previous time is,
that you feel this presence to be the Cosmic Mother.
Q. (After a few minutes a deep sigh can be
heard). Well, ah...it is a big relief. That which surrounds me really feels like a caring
energy, something warm and protective really.
A. Do you want to take a rest?
Q. No, it has given me such a joy, so I very
much would like to go on.
A. What would you like next?
Q. To know more about the Mother. Can you tell
me about your experiences? How did you meet Her?
A. Oh, yeah...well, how shall I
start? Okay, it happened a long time ago, in 1977 to be exact. Suddenly and totally
unexpected, a Lightning struck my head, wiping out my entire existence (Absolute
Nothingness). Immediately after I found myself dissolved in Eternal Light: I AM THAT. The
night after - again totally unexpected - I was confronted with the Great Darkness
("Underworld")*. The morning after I realized I had resurrected.
* See: Threefold
Realization.
Q. (Silent)
A. In the years after I
struggled with the interpretation of all this. If the Light has a counterpart - Darkness -
then Enlightenment (The Divine, "God") cannot be the Ultimate. It is still part
of a duality. Thus there MUST be a Reality beyond. Then I realized how in my experience
the Light did not come first, but was born out of Absolute Nothingness. The latter was the
Realm I was searching for.
Q. (Silent)
A. Slowly it dawned upon me.
The Light is not the Ultimate, but is born out of Nothingness Beyond. In a flash I
realized this Nothingness to be a Vacuum, a Cosmic Womb, embracing the entire existence.
Immediately, all kinds of major intuitions filled in the gap. Everything fell on its
place. Yes, indeed this is corresponding with the ancient notion of the Primordial Great
Mother, out of Which everything is continuously born (including the Light, the Divine,
God, Buddhahood, Being) and to Whom everything returns.
Q. (Silent)
A. "Conclusion" is,
that the universe is ruled by the Eternal Feminine. She is not "God the Mother",
She is beyond God. The Mother and the Light are not competing with each other. You may put
it like this: The Vacuum is the Essence of the Mother; the Divine proves to be Her Light
Body, while the universe can be defined as Her Material Body.
Q. It means, that the world really has turned
upside down.
A. In patriarchy, the Ultimate
was claimed by men as their male God. Ever since the world have been upside down. With the
Return of the Mother - "thank god" - things are put into place again. It is a
beginning of a New Era, in which mankind may resume going back to its True Homeland: the
Great Mother.
Q. The end of monotheistic religions?
A. Not necessarily. You see,
there is still one God. The difference is, that He is not the Ultimate anymore. That
means, God is not the "Father", but the Son. If He acknowledges His descent:
being Son of the Mother, monotheistic religions may finally find the Unity, they all say
they want. With the Mother as the "Unity in Diversity", the "Sons" may
finally make peace among each other. If not, then they better disappear from the globe.
Q. Isn't there a big similarity
between Christian Mysticism and the Great Mother Tradition?
A. In Christianity, Mysticism
is the only way to overcome the unbridgeable gap between God and humans. It consists of
becoming One with the Godhead. However, this merging is always temporarily. Despite having
God-experiences, your identity remains the same. That's why you keep longing for the
unattainable. It is often giving rise to mystical addiction. Surrendering the Mother
however, will be granted by becoming Her Light Body (Enlightenment). She likes everybody
to become Her Divine Son or Daughter. The difference thus is, that through Christian
Mysticism you remain under all circumstances a miserable human being, while through the
Mother you will be "upgraded". You will experience a shift in identity e.g.
attain the level of Divinity*. It reflects the true nature of Attainment. You know, that
you Are That. Actually, through the Mother everybody can become (is) a "Christ".
* Being the Divine the ego has
disappeared. Hence, the ego can never claim divinity. It is your Essence, that is Divine.
Q. It seems to me, that your Message will
indeed give new hope. Although initially quite some confusion will still exist.
A. Let's us thus pray:
"Mother, have Mercy upon us".
Her Blessings to you all.
