LUGO, CITY OF THE
GREEN BISCHOP The palace contains a
lot more Green Men, which you can find under the balconies. Seeing that, you have to drop
all dogmatic thinking. For a bischop, who publicly displays his love for the Green Men,
isn't that unthinkable?....At that time the local situation seems to have dominated the
scene, though.... |

A second bischop heraldy, once
again with a Green Man. I honestly have to admit, I am impressed! PS. In Lorch monastery near Schwäbisch Gmünd there is a grave
with inscriptions of a bischop who portrays himself as Green Man LINK: Schwäbisch Gmünd |

The heraldy of one of the
bischops is even displayed at a second site (left) and moreover....IN the church. Two
Green Men are defending it aggessively. It increasingly seems that this bishop was able to
exercise quite some power in Lugo over a considerable period of time. He even had himself
dressed up to the nines at the front side of the church, together with a Green Beast/Man
(last foto). Slowly, I have become curious after this bishop.... |

The Green
Bull. It is unusual that he - symbol of the old religion - is being attacked. It means
that he is considered the innocent one.... |
