The South Portal was always most busy with people. Hence,
many churches display their Green Men and Wise Women (Goddesses) here. Again, a sign of
the influence of "heretics" in the Church. It also proves that the Green Men
were in people's hearts, while the teachings of the Church just remained at the surface.

Salamanca) "three faces" carvings can be seen. They might relate to the old
concept of Baphomet, the God of the Templars
Man IN nature, a very early understanding of their
relationship. Later the heads of the Green Men became more pronounced, a step to more
individualism
